“Cullompton was my original stall and it’s still my favourite. It’s local, the community is lovely, and I’ve built up trust with my customers over the years,” says Mandy.

Regular visitors know Mandy not just for her beautiful Italian-designed clothing and accessories, but also for her hands-on services, including jewellery repairs, re-stringing necklaces, fitting watch straps, and even adapting items to make them more wearable.

“I fit magnetic clasps for ladies with arthritis—it’s those little things that make a big difference.”

“The Bullring looks so inviting now—with seating, plants, and a welcoming feel. We may have a small group of traders, but every one of us has a great reputation.”

Mandy also highlights the practical support that makes market life possible:

“The Town Council have been fantastic. They supply gazebos and tables, and the outdoor team sets everything up each week—they’re brilliant.”

She’s quick to champion the wider market too, noting that Jonas the fish van remains a big draw for shoppers and adds to the community vibe.
