Mid Devon is the perfect place for a romantic getaway.

Mid Devon’s beautiful countryside makes it a tranquil spot for a romantic winter escape for two.  The rolling hills and valleys create breathtaking views.  Take a walk along the Two Moors Way or the Exe Valley and discover the wildlife and patchwork scenery along the way.  Alternatively, explore The Grand Western Canal Country Park; a nature reserve that stretches 11 miles. Take a walk up Cadbury hill and see Dartmoor in the distance; it’s a great spot for a romantic picnic.

Explore our towns and villages

Explore our market towns filled with heritage, castles, museums, mottes & baileys.  If you’re not into your history, it doesn’t matter. Each town has its own character, quirky cafés, independent and boutique shops to discover. Check out our shop local blog for places to visit.

With two National parks on the edge of Mid Devon, you can easily explore Dartmoor and Exmoor.  If you wish to feel the sea air on your face, North and South Devon coastlines are easily reached from Mid Devon’s central position.

Pick your perfect escape from the world and choose from a range of accommodation with stargazing, treehouses, hot tubs, or wake up to a field of deer!  There is lots to offer a couple in Mid Devon.
