Tiverton Museum of Mid Devon Life – Halloween Half Term & Family Fright Night

25 October – 1 November 2025
Get ready for spooky fun at the museum this half term!

  • Join the Ghost Train – Fill your train carriage with passengers as you explore the galleries — can you find them all? (Included in normal admission.)

  • Halloween Craft – Drop in to make a colourful Halloween light catcher (£3 per child, or £2 for members, with a paying adult).
    And don’t miss the museum’s Family Fright Night, where the ghosts of Tiverton’s past come out to play for an evening of eerie fun!


Coldharbour Mill – Steam & Scream (Sunday 26 October)

Step into history with a spooky twist! The mill’s mighty steam engines roar into life for this special Halloween event, complete with family activities, heritage displays and just the right touch of haunting fun.


Grand Western Canal – Wild Wednesday Spooktacular (Wednesday 29 October)

Have a spooktacular day out along the Grand Western Canal! Enjoy Halloween and autumn-themed crafts, then follow the spooky pumpkin trail.


Quince Honey Farm – Pumpkin Patch & Apple & Honey Harvest (27–30 October)

Pick your own pumpkin for free (pay per pumpkin) and then head into the main attraction to celebrate the Apple & Honey Harvest. Enjoy daily apple pressing, honey extraction demos and tastings, plus all the usual indoor and outdoor play.


Bampton Charter Fair (Thursday 30 October)

Step back in time at one of Devon’s oldest fairs! Dating to the 13th century, Bampton Charter Fair fills the town with music, stalls and family fun. This year’s headline act, Pedal Power vs Parkour, brings an exciting mix of cycling stunts and parkour tricks to Newton Square. Expect children’s entertainment from Piano Bike Girl, Punch & Judy shows, Marvellous Eventures’ wizarding antics, live music, fairground rides and plenty of local stalls.
