Views over Tiverton – Mid Devon Walking Festival

This walk is being hosted by Exeter & District Ramblers

A circular walk starting from the Tiverton Canal Basin car park. We walk in a westerly direction to meet the River Exe and then follow the Exe Valley Way south. We take a sharp left to climb the steep hill towards Gogwell (highest point). Then its downhill all the way to the Grand Western Canal and back to the car park in Tiverton. Fabulous walk from Tiverton with great views over the town from Gogwell and Newtes Hill.

Difficulty Level: Challenging due to one long steep hill. Walk approx. 6 miles. Not suitable for wheelchair users. Walking boots/shoes advised.

Food and Drink: At the start and end of the walk there are refreshments available from the Ducks Ditty café-bar and Canal Tea Rooms and Gardens.  Alternatively bring a packed lunch and drink.
