Tiverton Remembrance Parade
Remembrance Sunday, which falls on 14 November in 2021, is a national opportunity to remember the service and sacrifice of all those that have defended our freedoms and protected our way of life.
We remember the Armed Forces and their families from Britain and the Commonwealth, the vital role played by the emergency services and those that have lost their lives as a result of conflict or terrorism.
Due to restoration work, St Peter’s Church is not available this year, so a revised parade has been organised. The parade will assemble at 10:30am with the wreath laying at the Memorial Hall. At 11:00am, there will be the traditional 2-minute silence. The parade will then form up behind the Town Band at 11:30am and proceed to the Methodist Chapel via Fore Street, Bampton Street and St Peter’s Street where the parade will fall out. Those wishing to attend the church service may enter the church depending on numbers and space available.
At the end of the service, the standards and Civic Party will leave the church.
