Crediton Railway Special – Mid Devon Walking Festival

A short walk around Crediton’s railway station, taking in an historic signal box (still in operation), old station buildings and evidence of the “third rail” from the Broad Gauge era, with lots to say about the history of the railway in Crediton. The station is served by local buses (and trains!), and free car parking is available nearby.

Parking: Crediton Station Car Park behind Fordton Terrace, Crediton, EX17 3DD

Food and Drink: Station Tea Rooms are not usually open on Sundays. There may be some options available in and around the town, but we are uncertain of details.

Useful Information: This walk will be in the afternoon; however timings are to be confirmed. Dogs are welcome along on this. Trains from Exeter St Davids. Services to Barnstaple and to Okehampton stop at Crediton. Some bus services call at the station (check bus timetables for details). Walk Leader : John Heal
