Christmas Card Lino Printing Workshop for Beginners
Come and join Helen McCormick for a fun evening learning the basics of lino printing, making your very own beautiful Christmas cards.
My workshop is designed to be a relaxed friendly space where you can meet new people and have the opportunity to create, learn and have fun. Throughout the evening I will teach you how to create a design, and then transfer this to your lino block ready to carve. You will have practise opportunities to develop your cutting technique and familiarise yourself with the various cutting tools, before embarking on your final design. By the end of the workshop you will have a set of 4 cards, along with test prints and your carved lino block to take home.
All materials and equipment will be provided. Tea and Coffee will be available throughout the evening. The only thing you need to bring is an apron and wear old clothes if possible.
There is FREE parking at the Walronds. The carpark is located at the back of the building. To access the carpark you will need to turn up Tiverton Road off the High Street, and then turn left just before the fire station onto Shortlands Lane. It is a narrow lane and easily missed. Drive a few yards up the lane and you will see the sign for the carpark on the left. Turn left and follow the drive through the gate ahead. Here is a link to Google Maps which should take you right to the carpark entrance.
