Brooke Sharkey at the Waldrons
Brooke Sharkey, an internationally renowned musician, in concert in the Waldrons gardens with Isaks Island and Blythe Pepino.
Brooke Sharkey was raised between France and England and is now currently based in Oslo. Starting her musical journey as a busker, she has since released 2 Eps and 2 full length albums ‘One Dress’ (2012) and ‘Wandering Heart’ (V2 records- 2016) and travelled extensively playing her Anglo-french soul searching, spacious and poetic songs. Brooke was featured in the FUTURE 50 article in The Guardian in 2016 about independent artists doing it their own way. She produces her music and collaborates with various artists and musicians adding to her unique vocal delivery and poetic lyrics, reaching into the vaste yet intricate themes of loving, longing, letting go, desire, empowerment, belonging, beauty and the search for inner peace through voice, presence and embodiment.
Brooke’s music has been played extensively on BBC radio 2, Radio 6, BBC Scotland, Radio FIP (France) and Radio 1 Belgium with live sessions on NPO Radio 1 and 2 in The Netherlands. She has also captured the attention of The guardian, Loud and quiet magazine, Acoustic magazine and Maverick magazine and has supported artists such as Thomas Dybdahl, Ben Watt and french artist Tété, co-headlining a show at The Union Chapel with Blick Bassy.
Brooke is currently working on a new single with Blythe Pepino (Band: Mesadorm) and is crowdfunding for her new EP to be released in 2023.
She will be accompanied by Isaks Island & Blythe Pepino.
The concert will take place at 7.30 pm on 14th July 2023 as part of the Cullompton Arts Festival and will be held in a marquee in the attractive gardens of The Walronds.
A licensed bar will be available.
