About the Venue:

There has been a mill at Coldharbour, Uffculme, since the time of the Domesday Book, with the current woollen mill in continuous production  since 1797. Today Coldharbour Mill is run as a charity (no. 1123386) and  remains recognised by English Heritage who wrote a Historic Buildings Report (B/065/2001) about the mill complex, and described the site as “probably one of the best-preserved textile mill complexes in the country. It retains the full range of buildings and power system features which characterised the development of the 19th century textile mill with much of the machinery that was used at the site in the 20th century.”

With an unrivalled collection of heritage machinery, social & textile archives and  wide-ranging power sources still in daily use, the mill is now thriving, providing education, visitor experiences and volunteering opportunities that help promote  social wellbeing and combat isolation.
