An Afternoon with Michael Morpurgo
Join us for an exclusive afternoon of celebration of the beauty and wonder of trees with the legendary author Michael Morpurgo, valued patron of the Bookery. He will be talking about his new book My Heart Was A Tree at Crediton Congregational Church on Saturday 17th June at 3pm.
Inspired by the poetry of Ted Hughes, and the glorious woodlands around his home, Michael Morpurgo’s new book, beautifully illustrated by Yuval Zommer, is an enchanting collection of stories and poetry about trees through time, an ode to earths’ amazing forests with their extraordinary life force.
Michael Morpurgo will also be officiating at the Grand Opening of the new Bookery extension earlier in the day at 2pm, at the bookshop. Everyone is invited.
An Afternoon with Michael Morpurgo takes place on Saturday 17 June at 3pm at Crediton Congregational Church EX17 3LF.
Signed dedicated copies can be pre-ordered in advance from The Bookery website to collect from the bookshop or at the event.
