How you should be able to use this website
We try to write in plain English and avoid jargon. If you don’t understand something, please let us know.
We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. You should be able to:
- change colours, contrast levels and fonts using browser or device settings
- zoom in without the text spilling off the screen
- navigate most of the website using a keyboard or speech recognition software

Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations
The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.
Level A
- Some clickable controls may not yet be fully operable using only a keyboard. This fails clickable controls should be keyboard accessible – WCAG 2.2A F15
- Some clickable controls on our website do not currently include appropriate ARIA roles. This may affect how assistive technologies identify and announce these elements to users. This fails clickable controls should have an ARIA role – WCAG 2.2 A F54
- Some link elements (<a>) on our website are missing required attributes such as href, appropriate link text, or necessary ARIA attributes. This may cause assistive technologies to misidentify these elements or prevent users from understanding their purpose (WCAG 2.2 Level A, Success Criterion 4.1.2)
- Some form fields on our website do not currently have accessible names or labels. This can make it difficult for users of screen readers and other assistive technologies to understand the purpose of these form controls (WCAG 2.2 Level A, Failure F68).
- Some images on our website do not currently include accessible names (alternative text). This may prevent users of screen readers from understanding the purpose or content of these images (WCAG 2.2 Level A, Failure F65).
- At 400% zoom and in mobile view (320 x 256 pixels), it is not possible to read all of the content within the expanded hamburger menu as the content now overflows the visible part of the screen and cannot be scrolled (WCAG 1.4.10 Reflow)
- Some parts of the website are not operable using only a keyboard without needing a mouse, touchscreen, or trackpad (WCAG 2.1.1 Keyboard)
- There are examples across the website at 200% zoom users might experience loss of content or functionality (WCAG 1.4.4 Resize Text)
- When hovering over the ‘Plan your visit’ link within the menu, there is no mechanism to dismiss the additional content triggered without moving pointer hover or keyboard focus (WCAG 1.4.13 Content on Hover or Focus)
- Some links in the footer are obscured behind the cookie banner at 400% zoom (WCAG 2.4.11 Focus Not Obscured – Minimum)
What we’re doing to improve accessibility
We have commissioned a new website which will address a number of these issues. The new website will go live early 2026 with an up-to-date accessibility statement.
